I am more inspored by most paralympians than I am by some olympians. Having a disability in no way means you can’t do sport, you just have to adapt the idea of what sports you’re best suited to.

Oscar Pistorius lost his legs in a lawnmoer accident when he was little. With the help of some very cool carbon fibre legs, he can now run the 100sprint just over 1s slower than Usain Bolt.

I have worked with several athletes with disabilities – some are unable to move their arms or legs due to accidents that caused spinal cord injuries.

Try watching wheelchair rugby or this movie about it called Murderball http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0436613/

These guys are ferocious and just as mentally and physically tough as any able bodied athlete I have met.

Dreams can only be crushed if we let that happen – we might need to make new dreams that’s all.

Certainly not, in fact the drive and determination of a lot of disabled athletes is stronger than their able-bodied counterparts! You can pretty much achieve anything you want to if you set your mind to it!
