      This is partly answered by the ‘nature/nurture’ debate – how much our genes and how much our environment make us who we are.

      Our genes can determine some ways our body develops (like if you have two tall parents, you are likely to be tall).

      But environmental things – like the type of food we eat when we are young, the kind of exercise we do, and any illnesses or diseases we catch (like rickets, or polio) can also determine how our body develops.
