I’ll let one of the other scientist talk about making you run faster, but in terms of increasing your reaction time, there’s nothing better than actually practicing the response you want to make. So doing lots of starts with a starter and gun is probably the best way (i’m assuming you are wanting to start sprint races faster?) You need to work on a mental preparation routine, which results in you being very relaxed but ficused when you are down in your blocks ready to start.
This link has a few drills you could try http://www.brianmac.co.uk/reaction.htm
everyone has the same reaction time, its just being alert, paying attention to the gun. if you want to become faster you have to train quite alot, especial if its sprinting. i do sprinting myself and i train 3 times a week, and do improve you must train. so get your self down to a track and do a few runs but dont just do full runs, if you want to improve you have to break it down. so one day work on your sprint starts and another work on the getting to max speed as fast as possbile, but during these make sure you warm up and cool down or else you get cramp. make a routine for yourself but dont do to much or you wont let your muscle have time to repair and become stronger
