Depends on the day and how much I have to do.

Sometimes it’s 9-5 and only on week days but, sometimes I work until 10pm if I’ve got lots to do and at the moment I’m not even taking the weekends off because I really need to finish some experiments.

Generally I’m not *at* work more than 40 hours a week but, like most scientists, I tend to think about my work even when I’m not there. I don’t think I’ve ever counted the number of brain hours I do a day…

It really varies, especially as I am my own boss so I feel guilty if I am not doing something. Today I was working with an athlete at 6am before they went to work, then I have been writing an article today (and answering your questions) and tonight I will see another athlete. I often work early/late and weekends as that’s when my clients are free to see me – but that means I also get time in the day (which would be great, only no one else is ever around then!)
