No it wasnt actually – my school made us chose one science for GCSE, so I chose biology, but I didnt like dissection and I didnt do any sciences at A-Levels. It was only when I got older that I developed an interest in psychology, and I had to go back to University when I was 30 to re-train and get a diploma and then a masters in psychology. In school my favourite subject was English literature and English Language. I really enjoyed writing then, and I still do, and it helps me write my psychology articles and write up my research.
My favourites were science, PE and (believe it or not) drama! The latter helped me develop my presentational skills, making me a better teacher than I otherwise would be.
