• Question: what is your favourite experiment that you have ever done?

      In 2008 I did an experiment where I treated some plastics with plasma (essentially ligthening contained in a big chamber http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_(physics)). We were trying to work out why proteins stick to some plastics in order to solve problems like why contact lenses get dirty and how to prevent it.

      We discovered something new which was very cool. Plus I got to go to Sydney to do the experiment and I won £1000 for the project I wrote about it so all in all it was an amazing experiment!
