Why would you support just ONE students on there research project?

Question: Why would you support just ONE students on there research project?

  Unfortunately £500 does not go a very long way these days.
  
  A single ELISA kit costs around £500 so I would only be able to buy one kit and let the student measure one additional variable. It would enhance the students work but I am afraid £500 does not go very far.

Question: Why would you support just ONE students on there research project?
