• Question: Will Penguins ever get the ability to fly

      They do fly – just in water instead of in air!

      I doubt they’ll ever fly in the air though – evolution is always moving forwards, not back.

      Like Jenni said, they have already evolved once from winged birds that flew into land birds that dont need their wings to fly but have adapted them for water.

      The question is: why they need to? As Jenni says, they have adapted to water “flying” and developing the ability to fly through air would be unlikely to enhance their chances of survival. So no, I doubt they will ever be able to fly through air.
